• Photography has always been a part of my life and my first camera was given to me by my great-grandma when I was about five. It was a Kodak camera 120 film camera with a kaleidoscope attachment, and I loved it. I would finish my roll and beg my mom to take me to the store to drop off my film and wait for it to be developed while we shopped for groceries.. I still have some of those photos to this day.

I remember as a kid, spending hours flipping through old photo albums of my family and others. Peering into frames of the past. I loved that they were candid, honest, and real, almost like you were there, in that moment.. captured in time.

As a teen, I took analog photography in school and I’ve been hooked ever since, I strictly shot film until about 2013 when my son was born and bought a digital camera, and shoot both now, creating my own albums for someone to flip through someday.

  • I was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska and have lived here for the majority of my life. I spent some time in California and Washington in my early 20’s, and made my way back home to Alaska where I met my husband Joshua. We have a couple of kiddos and they are the best. I love collecting obscure trinkets (Self-proclaimed magpie) (ask me about my chrome tube), abstract art, weird furniture, and an inexcusable amount of wool jumpers.

  • Apart from photography, my favourite medium is painting, particularly abstracts. I love the freedom to paint without expectation and the challenge of composition with obscure shapes and lines. I love making sourdough bread, baguettes, and pain de champagne. In summer you will find me in my garden, camping, hiking, and exploring. I love playing music, going to shows - finding my way to the middle of the crowd, and dancing my heart out. I’m always planning our next vacations before they end, and squeezing every last moment out of them. Spending as much time as possible with my family and friends and our dog Luna. Currently, I’m restoring my 1974 Honda CB450 motorcycle with my husband.
